Technical implementation of a light installation by Miriam Hamann, at Festival of the Regions 2017 “Uninvited guests”
“Running Light” is a light installation that transforms the Marchtrenks water tower into a light signal. A light bar rotating 360 ° around the cylindrical water tank refers to those signal bodies that are used to determine the position at sea. Generated as a rotating beacon, the tower shows both one’s own and the point of view of the other, and as an abstract light sculpture refers to movement and flight as well as the associated forms of navigation and orientation.
